My husband and I had a wonderful late-night meal at Hai Di Lao on New Year's Eve, thanks to SiSi, the amazing staff member who served us. She was professional, warm, and attentive, making us feel truly cared for. When I accidentally burned my finger a little, SiSi quickly brought an ice pack and burn ointment, checking on me multiple times to ensure I was okay. The food was fresh and high-quality as always. The Wagyu beef was tender, and the kidney was incredibly fresh. Thank you, SiSi, for such a memorable and heartwarming dinner experience!

My family of 5 loved our experience at Haidilao. I love that there's something for everyone here. My daughter loved making her own sauce for the first time, she even jotted down the ingredients and said she will try to remake her sauce at home. My son liked the meats and vegetables and noodles. My mom loved the fish skin salad that was unlimited with all the side dishes and sauces, she probably ate 3 plates of just fish skin! My husband and I liked the freshness of the food and how they made hot pot fun for the whole family. The kids even got toys (you just have to ask nicely). I made my husband practice his Chinese here, to try the free Haidilao hacks we learned on social media, and we all had a good laugh. The restaurant was not busy when we got there around when they opened. But it was definitely more full when we left 2 hours later. I like that they didn't rush us. Overall very good service (and self service for sides and sauces).

Decided to finally give Haidilao a try earlier in December, since one of my very good friends works as an Ops Manager for Haidilao and recommended me to give any of their SoCal locations a try! Went in on a Wednesday for lunch right around 12:15 and there wasn't too many people. My overall experience was positive. Service was great, as I would have expected. Ended up ordering two broths as part of the quarter broth pot - the pork bone and tom yum, and also ordered 4 items with it, some kobe beef and some other vegetables. The two broths were really good, and the sauce bar was pretty good as well and extra snacks that were really good (especially the wheat chips, kinda like Bugles). The only downside is that there was another special that I thought I was able to take advantage of (I believe it was $28 for a one-person meal), but unfortunately I was not able to take advantage of that during the holidays. The price is still a bit steep though for one person, but would definitely be back if they have the one-person lunchtime special!

Service was amazing and the food was delicious! The staff were very accommodating and gave prompt service. The sauce bar had lots of options to complete your meal and had a wide array of desserts. Would recommend to families and friends who enjoy sharing meals!

Loved the service, they were very attentive and nice. The food and snack bar was also good.

Our go to place! We go for the Tom yum and spicy schechuzan if you're not sweating and coughing then you aren't doing it right What we order from what I remember; Kobe Beef Chuckeye roll Prime Rib Wagyu beef Brisket Shrimp Udon noodle Rice Mushrooms - all of them Bock Choy Spinach Greens mix of everything Oh and lots of Ginro Staff is super attentive and nice! A sauce bar compliments the meats you want to dip. Ambiance is always chill, eat good food and share with good people

Visited again last night and had a great time introducing a friend to Haidilao! She was really impressed with everything at Haidilao. Food quality was excellent as always, and the combo of fresh, flavorful, and large selection of proteins, veggies, and other toppings makes for such a winning combo! Ambiance is casual but still nice, and also family friendly. Justin was our server and he was absolutely incredible - thoughtful, friendly, and great sense of humor. He anticipated our every need and even some needs we didn't even know we had! For example, when he saw that we got our sweet potato noodles, he brought out metal baskets for us to cook the noodles in so that we wouldn't lose our noodles or have a hard time fishing them out after cooking. Justin also made us his fav sauce combos and brought us his fav dessert. Highly recommend requesting Justin if you make a reservation. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! So glad it's hot pot season and we'll be back for more.

This place has excellent service, plenty of soup base options and quality ingredients to dip into the different soup bases. There can be a wait so reservations are recommended. It is a la carte hot pot so the pricing is based on what you choose but I think it is worth spending the $3.99 to enjoy the cold tofu, snacks and sauces, and choosing 4 soup based so you can have a good variety. The fried steam buns are a MUST to end the meal. Warning: the tables and seats are low and not adjustable so it's hard for taller people to fit into the seats. Pro-tip: Beef belly in the truffle soup base brings out the best in both flavor wise (other ingredients don't really pick up the truffle flavor), the short rib is best in the Premium Chicken & Fish Maw soup base (which is the best one to just drink as a soup), and the Tom Yum Soup Base is good with nearly everything

Great food and better service. Also all the beef is good. Put it in the soup first to make it hearty and tasty

I've been to the City of Industry Haidilao location before and loved it, so I was excited to try this location in Irvine since it's closer to me. The food and broth was just as good as I remembered from the other location. The service was attentive and friendly. Honestly, everything was good except for the space. The Irvine location seems far smaller compared to the one in City of Industry. There are so many tables crammed next to each other in the center. We were seated in one of the tables away from the walls and we were touching elbows with the people seated in the table right next to us. All of our uncooked food was coughed on by the seemingly sick person sitting at the table next to us. I want to rate this place lower because of the crammed experience we had, but everything else was so good... so I gave it a four star. Will I come back to this location? No, unless I can get a seat next to the wall where it is more private.
